Environment Safeguards Specialist

Palladium is seeking an Environment Safeguards Specialist in New Delhi, India. Candidates should have a degree in environmental science or related fields, with at least 7 years of experience in environmental safeguards, including 5 years with multilateral development banks. • The specialist should have a degree in environmental science, natural resource management, climate change, or a relevant discipline.
• The specialist should have at least 7 years’ experience in environmental safeguards, including at least 5 years of experience in supporting projects financed by multilateral development banks or international financing institutions as environment safeguards specialist.
• The specialist will ensure compliance to government’s statutory and legal environmental requirements, ADB SPS 2009, the project Environmental Assessment and Review Framework (EARF), and loan covenants. This involves supporting PMU and CPCs on the safeguard requirements outlined in the EARF, and preparing initial environmental examination (IEE) for new CPCs, among others.
