Environment & Land Use Associate – San Francisco

Direct Counsel is seeking an Environment & Land Use Associate with 5+ years of experience to join a highly regarded law firm in their Government, Land Use, Environment, and Energy (GLUEE) practice in San Francisco. This role offers the opportunity to work on regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters related to land development, natural resources, and environmental law.
Key Responsibilities: Advise clients on CEQA, NEPA, air, water, energy, and public land matters . Handle land use litigation, including writ of mandate cases . Assist in real estate transactions and land development projects . Work on regulatory compliance and permitting for public and private sector clients . Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in land use or environmental law. Prior experience with land use litigation and public lands is preferred. Strong academic credentials and California Bar admission required. Experience with real estate transactions is a plus. Compensation & Benefits: Base salary: $230K – $260K , based on experience.
