Job Description

Shirley Parsons is seeking an Environment, Health and Safety Manager for a leading chemical manufacturing company in Moorpark, CA. The role involves overseeing environmental compliance, managing a team, and ensuring adherence to regulations. Candidates should have over 6 years of EHS experience in manufacturing and a relevant degree. The position offers a salary of $120K–$150K and is full-time.
A leading chemical manufacturing company is looking to appoint an EHS Manager to oversee the EHS function at one of their key locations in the Moorpark, CA area. The EHS Manager will be a key part of the site leadership team, and will be the EHS subject matter expert for this location. Working alongside the EHS team, the EHS Manager will be responsible for all Environmental programs and permits for the site.

The Role:
• Oversee and manage all environmental compliance, reporting, permitting and certifications for the company; these include air permitting and reporting, spill prevention, hazardous waste, storm water and wastewater programs.
• Leading a team of 2 direct reports.
• Provide technical guidance and stay up to date on all relevant environmental standards and regulations that impact the organization, at federal, state and local level.
• Oversee and lead all environmental audits and collaborate with various stakeholders to implement corrective action plans, based on these findings.
• Maintaining the site's ISO 14001 certification/

The Candidate:
• 6+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing plant required
• 3+ years of management/leadership responsibilities
• Bachelor’s Degree in EHS, IH, Physical Science/Engineering or a related technical field
• Working knowledge of key environmental permitting including air, water, hazardous waste, and stormwater
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a positive EHS culture within a manufacturing plant, and tangible evidence of improving plant-level EHS performance and culture
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
