Glencore is seeking a full-time Environment and Community Coordinator for its Mangoola Coal operation in Muswellbrook, NSW. What are we looking for?

We are looking for highly dedicated Environment & Community Coordinator to join our safety and result-driven team. This position is permanent full time, working a Monday to Friday roster.

In this role you will be responsible for:
• Providing technical advice, leadership and coaching relating to environment and community management to the site and two direct reports.
• Managing compliance with regulatory environmental requirements, Glencore Standards and Mine Standards.
• Developing and implementing the site Water Management Plans.
• Coordinate the implementation of the Blasting, Cultural/ Historic Heritage, Air Quality and Noise portfolios through effective delegation and advice to ensure a high level of compliance.
• Providing strong leadership to drive a high-performance culture.
• Promoting positive relationships with our stakeholders & community.
• Taking all reasonable steps to minimise impact on the environment.

About you:
• You will have tertiary qualifications in Applied Science, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• You will have a thorough understanding of NSW environmental legislation.
• You will have previous experience in the mining industry.
• You have a high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.
• You have the ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
• You demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.
• You are a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team.
