UCT is looking for a talented Parts Cleaning Technician I to join us in Scarborough, ME!

The Parts Cleaning Technician I is a hands-on role performing manual cleaning, scrubbing, and preparation of metal components in a manufacturing environment. This role supports production by executing manual cleaning and preparation steps to ensure parts meet quality standards and are ready for downstream processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform manual cleaning and processing of parts using established proceduresExecute tasks such as wiping, scrubbing, rinsing, and preparing components for further processingSupport operations within the anodized processing area, including handling parts before and after processingLoad, unload, and stage parts safely to support production flowFollow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and qualityPerform visual inspection of parts to identify defects, residue, or damageMaintain accurate production and process documentationIdentify and report quality issues, equipment concerns, or process deviationsMaintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 6S standardsFollow all safety procedures and PPE requirements, especially when working around chemicalsCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisorsSupport additional tasks as needed to meet production goalsMaintain reliable attendance and punctuality

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Preferred:

Experience in manufacturing, processing, or industrial cleaning environmentsExperience working with wet processes or chemical handlingFamiliarity with inspection or quality control processes

Educational/Certification Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience. 0–2 years of manufacturing or related experience preferredEquivalent combination of training and experience considered

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment within an anodized processing area (not a cleanroom)Hands-on, physical work supporting production flowModerate-paced production environment with defined tasks and workflowsWork performed in accordance with safety and operational standards
