Tetra Tech is seeking an Entry-Level Junior Environmental Scientist for their Fairfax, VA office. We are seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level/Junior Environmental Scientist to join our Fairfax, VA office.
We are in search of an enthusiastic team member to join our family of engineers and scientists who will provide support for projects related to stormwater and stream monitoring/sampling, field visual assessments, data analysis, geographical information systems, watershed management and planning, stormwater BMP siting, BMP inspections, and IDDE.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Field data collection (water quality, flow)
• Organizing field sampling events
• Managing databases and analyzing data
• Performing GIS analyses and producing maps
• Preparing documents and reports
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
• Minimum B.S. in Environmental Science or related field and 1-3 years’ experience
• Ability to respond successfully to multiple demands and manage time effectively
• Excellent database, spreadsheet, GIS, word processing, and research skills
• MS Office products required. ArcPro required. Microsoft Access preferred. Python and R experience desirable.
• Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork in various field conditions — collect samples and perform equipment maintenance in various weather conditions during and outside normal business hours (including weekends)
• Ability to adapt and problem solve
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to include excellent written and oral communication skills
