Entry-Level Engineer/Geologist/Environmental Scientist— Valdosta, GA

TTL is seeking an entry-level environmental professional to join our team in Valdosta, GA. This role will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of project types and teams. This position will play a vital role in providing technical field support and reporting on environmental projects including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), Underground Storage Tank (UST) assessments and remediation, and NPDES, RCRA permit applications and compliance assistance. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills to pair with a strong technical background.

Description

Typical duties and responsibilities include:
• Conduct field investigations to collect geologic data, including soil and rock samples, groundwater samples, and surface water samples
• Participate in environmental site assessments and investigation projects
• Perform geologic mapping and assist in the development of conceptual site models.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and evaluate environmental risks and impacts
• Prepare detailed reports, including technical data, findings, and recommendations for clients and regulatory agencies
• Stay updated on environmental regulations and best practices in the field of environmental geology

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Science required; M.S. preferred
• EIT preferred for Engineers and GIT preferred for Geologists
• Internships / part-time work and/or CO-OPs is a plus
• Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Time management and organization skills
• Good driving record
