Job Description

Navistar, Inc. is hiring an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer in Lisle, IL. The role involves hands-on experience in power distribution, HMI, and high-process computing, focusing on designing and validating electrical components for automotive applications. Join Us as an Electrical Engineer!

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in Power distribution, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), and high-process computing by rotating between these focus areas based on project needs. You will work with microcontrollers, HMI systems, power distribution component, switches, actuators, sensors, and vehicle controller module, ensuring seamless integration of electrical components within the vehicle.

This team is responsible for providing the electrical hardware components that go into the vehicle, including hardware that interfaces with software systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering, embedded systems, and automotive hardware development.

Responsibilities
• Gain expertise in power distribution, HMI, and high-power computing, rotating between these areas as needed.
• Design, develop, and validate electrical components such as switches, actuators, sensors, controllers, and microcontrollers for automotive applications.
• Work on hardware components that interface with vehicle software, ensuring seamless integration.
• Support hardware component selection, defining requirement, testing, and validation to meet performance and reliability standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and suppliers to ensure system compatibility.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware-related issues in prototype and production environments.
• Document and communicate technical findings, component specifications, and system integration strategies.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science

OR
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and will obtain degree prior to first day of employment

• Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
