Enterprise Business Development Manager (Maritime/Ship Owners & Managers)

Location: Singapore

A leading maritime safety and sustainability solutions provider is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development to drive growth across the APAC region. This is a highly commercial new business "hunter" role (≈95% focused on new logo acquisition), centred on expanding market share and delivering improved safety, environmental, and social outcomes through innovative solutions.

Working closely with the Head of APAC, you will lead new business initiatives and aggressively identify, engage, and convert new customers across the maritime ecosystem—including ship owners and managers, charterers, ports and terminals, port agency and husbandry services, vessel operations, broking and commercial management, as well as voyage optimisation and digital solution providers.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, to ensure a compelling and competitive value proposition, while driving commercial engagements and long-term strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities Strategy & Planning
Identify priority growth areas and support the execution of business development strategies Assess market opportunities and contribute to new product and service development Set and deliver short- to mid-term business objectives aligned with regional goals Develop commercial business cases, including growth strategies, financial analysis, and reporting Leverage data and tools to support strategic decision-making Business Development & Sales (Hunter Focus)
Drive new logo acquisition and revenue growth across the APAC region Proactively prospect, identify, and engage new clients across targeted maritime segments Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, achieving growth, ROI, and productivity targets Lead client outreach, meetings, and commercial negotiations to close deals Present compelling value propositions and gather market insights to refine offerings Ensure smooth onboarding and handover to internal teams post-sale Stakeholder Management
Develop and execute client engagement and relationship strategies Communicate business offerings and strategic direction to key stakeholders Monitor client organisations and manage relationships proactively Collaborate internally to ensure seamless transition from sales to delivery and account management Requirements
Proven track record in new business acquisition ("hunter" sales) and revenue growth Strong ability to build relationships and establish credibility quickly Experience expanding market presence and executing commercial strategies Ability to operate independently and drive regional growth Experience in SaaS, PaaS, or technology-led solutions is advantageous Strong commercial acumen with a data-driven mindset Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills Fluency in English (spoken and written) Passion for improving safety, environmental, and social sustainability in the maritime industry
