Job Description
Cleansing Service Group is seeking an Engineering Manager for their Sewage Systems Maintenance Division. This full-time role involves leading a team of service engineers, ensuring high technical standards, managing budgets, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Hours: 40 hours per week, 50:50 office and field based.

Position:
Role Accountabilities:
The role combines technical knowledge and skill with management and leadership responsibilities.
• Recruit, mentor and lead the team of field-based service engineers in the south of England, who are maintaining sewage systems.
• Ensure and enforce high level of technical standard and workmanship when maintaining the customer sewage systems.
• Manage employee absence and annual leave.
• Work closely with the group business development manager to achieve targets and goals along with operational discussions and updates.
• Ensure compliance with group health and safety policy and requirements.
• Work with the office supervisor to manage any issues or technical support.
• Provide support both technical and operational to coordinators.
• Maintain working efficiency with other depots in the group
• Manage Maintenance van fleet, new purchases outfitting and maintenance.
• Project management of high value repairs and installations- on site supervisory.
• Coordinate with key customers and accounts, provide good customer service and manage complaints.
• Manage budgeting and finance for the department. Forecasting and cost management.
• Integrate new technologies and systems etc i.e. Concertor, cloud-based telemetry. Nutrient neutrality.
• Negotiating with suppliers to ensure cost effective purchasing of parts and materials.
• Understand and adhere to environmental regulations for the wastewater industry.
• Maintain subcontractor partnership to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements:
The Candidate:
Essential Qualifications
• Full UK Driving licence
• Engineering degree or similar qualification
Ideal Candidate
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Demonstrate ability in successfully managing remote based teams and delivering required outcomes
• Ability to build strong working relations with all stakeholders
• Knowledge and understanding of H&S legislation.
• Strong commercial acumen
