Job Description
The Climate Control Group is seeking an Engineering Lead - Controls Software in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves developing HVAC controls strategies, managing product lifecycles, and collaborating with teams to ensure product success. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of HVAC experience, including 3 years in a management role.
About the position
The Sr Product Manager for Controls is responsible for developing and executing controls strategies for HVAC businesses within the Climate Control Group. This role involves creating a controls roadmap, managing the product lifecycle, and collaborating with various teams to ensure product success and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
• Define the controls strategy and roadmap via multi-generation product/technology plans
,
• Communicate the strategy and gain alignment with the greater organization
,
• Evaluate and facilitate inter-company product synergy opportunities
,
• Align controls and product line strategies
,
• Define control requirements including cost, quality, and timing targets
,
• Deliver business cases and product requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification
,
• Drive ideation, develop concepts, establish and manage priorities
,
• Be an expert with respect to the controls, applications, competition, and the markets through use of available tools and resources
,
• Develop the core positioning, value proposition, and messaging for controls
,
• Lead cross-functional team through product lifecycle process
,
• Propose an overall budget to ensure success
,
• Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of study is required
,
• Minimum 7 years of experience in HVAC industry
,
• At least 3 years as Product Manager or Engineer required
,
• Skilled with MS Office suite
,
• Knowledge of workflow process development, process improvement, and documentation
