Engineer - Water Resources | Marlton, NJ | Full Time

Buchart Horn is seeking skilled and detail-oriented engineers to join our Water Resources Strategic Business Unit to support the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This position offers opportunities for engineers at different stages of their careers looking to grow their technical skills or take on greater responsibility.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll contribute to projects that directly support public health, environmental sustainability, and community well-being. You will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction and infrastructure projects that support essential water and wastewater systems. You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and meet all quality standards.

As Part Of An Engineering Team, You Will

Assist with or manage the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects as well as land development and stormwater design in support of water and wastewater infrastructure projects (level of responsibility based on experience)Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reportsConduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and design evaluationsUtilize design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar toolsEnsure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standardsCoordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders throughout project phasesMonitor project progress, troubleshoot technical challenges, and provide recommendationsSupport proposal development and contribute to pursuit strategies as neededStay current on water and wastewater regulations, design technologies, and best practices


Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited programFundamentals of Engineering (FE)/Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferredProficiency in civil engineering design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, etc.) preferredKnowledge of hydraulic and hydraulic modeling tools such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, and/or BioWin or other similar process modeling software preferredKnowledge of Water and Wastewater Conveyance Systems, Treatment Systems, and Process DesignExperience with Land Development and Stormwater Systems preferredKnowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirementsStrong communication, organization, and project management skillsAbility to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities
