Job Description

Modo Energy Limited is seeking an Energy Transition Analyst in Rome, Italy, to drive research and analysis in the power sector. The role involves creating insights on power markets, collaborating with teams, and influencing the company's growth in renewable energy. Candidates need 3+ years of experience in electricity systems and fluency in English. This hybrid position allows for a mix of remote and in-office work, primarily from home.
At Modo Energy Limited, we're driving the information architecture for a sustainable energy future. Our mission is to be the go-to source for insights on the global transition to net zero.

We're a passionate team building a category-defining business that's making a significant impact in one of the world's most pressing priorities – reducing carbon emissions.
The Role

The Market Lead will leverage their industry expertise to develop novel research and analysis that sets a new standard in the power sector. Collaborating with our data, modelling, and product teams, they'll help design and build cutting-edge data analytics products that transform the workflow of others in the industry.

Modo Energy tools are used to facilitate organisations' finance, build, benchmark, and operate battery energy storage systems. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for the successful candidate to become a highly influential thought leader in the space. They will have a substantial impact on the company, shaping its growth and direction as we expand our research and product offerings across various Italian power markets.
Key Responsibilities
• Create high-value insights through data-driven content on power markets, primarily through written articles and videos, to deliver valuable information to our audience.
• Broaden their understanding of our users and industry by staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the clean energy sector while expanding their professional network.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across the business, maximising value for our users through product, content, and customer-facing initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
• Native-level fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 3+ years of professional experience with in-depth knowledge of electricity systems and power trading, preferably including how battery energy storage systems generate revenue in Italian power markets.
• Strong critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to form thoughtful opinions, ask insightful questions, and engage with internal and external stakeholders as a thought leader in the renewable energy space.
• Proficiency in Python or Excel for analytics and PowerPoint for visuals.
Benefits and Opportunities

This hybrid role offers a unique blend of remote and in-office work, with time split between working from home and our London/Madrid office, with in-office days from Tuesday through Thursday.

We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package tailored to the location of the successful candidate.

We're committed to creating a diverse and inclusive team at Modo Energy, where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best work.

If you share our passion for supporting the transition to greener energy systems, we encourage you to apply.
