Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our team at Charles Levick Limited, a leading international specialist in the whole value chain of large-scale photovoltaic (PV) power plants in the megawatt segment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing standardized risk reporting and monitoring compliance with the risk mandate structure (credit, market and operational risk).
Key Responsibilities:
• Risk Management: Define and monitor limits and algorithmic trading activities, support employees in calculating key risk figures for trading activities, and perform stress tests and scenario analyses to assess extreme scenarios and their impact on our portfolio.
• Valuation Methods and Limit Structures: Review valuation methods, book and limit structures to derive suggestions for improvement and ensure transparency.
• Quantitative Analysis: Support other teams with quantitative analysis required for hedging strategies and investment decisions.
• Internal Control System: Support further development of a process-oriented internal control system.
• Desk Performance and Market Risks: Elaborate a quantitative and qualitative description of desk performance and the market risks for management.
• Front Office Collaboration: Establish a close relationship with the front office to ensure mutual understanding of profit, loss and risk measures.
Requirements:
• Educational Background: Degree in economics, mathematics, physics, engineering, finance or a comparable qualification.
• Professional Experience: Professional experience in risk controlling or risk management, specifically in energy trading, commodity trading or the financial services sector.
• Skill Set: Knowledge of calculating risk metrics such as VaR, Sharpe-Ratio, sensitivities and scenario analysis, analytical and structured way of working, high affinity for numbers, proficient in MS Excel, Power BI, experience with risk management software and database systems desirable.
• Languages: Good knowledge of German is an advantage.
• Personal Qualities: Team orientation, strong communication skills, and a high degree of initiative.
