Job Description
PPL Corp. is hiring an Energy Trader in Louisville, KY, seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and at least three years of energy trading experience. The role involves executing trades, analyzing market trends, managing risks, and maintaining trading records. Strong financial acumen, communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. The position offers a salary range of $75K–$150K and is full-time.
PPL Corp. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Energy Trader to join our team. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in energy trading and is passionate about the energy markets. The Energy Trader will be responsible for executing trades in the energy markets with a focus on maximizing profits and minimizing risks. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and at least three years of energy trading experience. The ideal candidate will also have an in-depth understanding of energy market trends, as well as strong financial acumen and analytical skills. Additionally, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities:
Execute trades in the energy markets with a focus on maximizing profits and minimizing risks.
Analyze energy market trends and evaluate data to inform trading decisions.
Monitor the energy markets and identify opportunities to capitalize on market fluctuations.
Prepare and execute detailed trading plans to reach predetermined objectives.
Maintain and update trading records and analyze performance.
Keep abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes.
Develop and maintain relationships with trading partners.
Communicate regularly with relevant departments to ensure a cohesive workflow.
Manage risk and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Report trading results and provide analysis and feedback to management.
