About Tangent Energy

Tangent Energy Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar, and a part of Caterpillar's Electric Power Division (EPD). Tangent Energy team members are among the most experienced in the industry in the areas of energy information presentment, coincident peak management, project financing, and Distributed Energy Resource project development. Combining the expertise to maximize economic value and performance to end use customers. Project development of DER generating assets includes photovoltaic systems, natural gas generators and battery energy storage systems.

Role Definition
As an Energy Solutions Project Engineer for Tangent Energy Solutions, we are looking for an industry expert in energy system applications to help customers increase their energy resiliency, reliability, and security while reducing cost, monetizing assets, and meeting their ESG goals through deployment of DERs. The successful candidate will provide engineering design and application for energy systems.

Responsibilities
• Provide up-front project engineering, including detailed estimates leveraging the industry leading Tangent AMP software and utilizing the Caterpillar Electric Power’s products and services (e.g., solar PV, energy storage, natural gas generation, combined heat and power, renewable fuels, and hydrogen solutions).
• Provide design oversight including procurement and installation of full systems that incorporate controls, integrated switchgear, and any other balance of plant items.
• Work with third party engineering firms and contractors for final design approvals.
• Attend site walkthroughs with project stakeholders during the development, construction, and commissioning phases of a project lifecycle.

Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
