Responsibilities include enrolling new customers, achieving performance metrics, and collaborating with the sales team. Applicants should have a high school diploma and be at least 18 years old. Summary:
NRG is hiring driven salespeople to work a multi-brand strategy. The Sales representative will be responsible for engaging prospective customers through promoting and selling products and services in various settings, inclusive of events, retail stores, and other tabling sales opportunities. The sales agent’s primary goal is to enroll new customers into energy services. Sales Agents will be responsible to achieve goals set by the Sales Team Lead and/or Area Manager. They will also work closely with other members of the sales team to determine best practices, maximize customer satisfaction, learn market trends, and support sales and marketing initiatives.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Enthusiastically approach customers with offers of NRG Energy and Green Mountain Energy products.
• Enroll customers utilizing NRG provided tools and resources
• Achieve and maintain set performance metrics while providing best-in-class services
• Perform company required trainings and attend regular team meetings
• Utilize and exercise compliance standards for securing customer information
• Abide by site rules and regulations, including all company safety rules/regulations
• Work at least twelve hours per week
• Travel to a variety of locations within the greater area of hire
Education:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, and must be 18 years of age or older
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Direct sales experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent communication through oral and written form
• Proficient with use of tablet computers
• Ability to work effectively both as an individual and a member of a team
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers
Honesty and reliability are a must
Physical Requirements:
May occasionally require lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities
Working Conditions:
Working onsite at assigned location(s)
Must be available to work evenings and weekends
This position is a part-time position eligible for commission incentives and/or targets provided by the Team Leads and/or Area Managers
