Excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with an interest in the Sustainable Energy industry to join a well-established business where they can leave their mark on complex, high-profile projects while developing their experience further in Energy Auditing and Energy Management.
This business has a number of offices across the USA and works with a range of commercial, industrial, residential, retail, leisure and hospitality clients to deliver turnkey solutions relating to Energy Efficiency/Conservation and Carbon Reduction Measures. They have delivered groundbreaking projects including the largest Geothermal system in New York, and they are now expanding their Philadelphia and New York offices.
In this role you will be responsible for the safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of Construction & Retrofit projects relating to Sustainable Energy. This will vary based on individual client needs and circumstances – one week you may be overseeing the installation of Heat Pumps, another week you might be involved with the commissioning and handover of energy-efficient HVACR systems.
The ideal candidate will come from an Engineering background and will hold a PMP or similar Project Management qualification, in addition to having previous experience in a Project Management, Program Management, Installation Management or Construction Management position in the Energy, MEPF/AEC or HVACR sectors. Any experience specifically with Energy Conservation projects will be highly advantageous, as will accreditations such as LEED AP, CEM, CEA or CMVP.
This position will be great for an organized and technically-minded individual looking to build upon prior transferrable experience while developing a promising career with a rapidly growing Energy company where they can create a legacy for themselves through the delivery of high-profile projects.
The role:
• Taking responsibility for project delivery from approval stage up to completion and handover
• Ensuring projects are delivered within budget, and in a timely and safe manner
• Managing, approving and reviewing the work of subcontractors and suppliers
• Acting as liaison between all stakeholders, communicating updates through meetings and reports
• Inspecting project sites to ensure H&S policies and processes are adhered to
• Supporting Engineering department to develop new Energy Efficiency solutions, sales proposals, budgets, schedules, plans etc.
• Building upon relationships with existing clients, and supporting with company growth through identification/acquisition of new clients
The Person:
• Coming from an Engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical Civil or similar)
• Previous experience in Project Management, Program Management, Construction Management or Installation Management for Energy, MEPF, HVACR or similar projects
• PMP or equivalent qualification
• LEED AP, CEA, CEM or CMVP certification advantageous but not essential
• Active driving license
