The Role: Energy Project Finance Associate | New York, NY
We are seeking a talented Energy Project Finance Associate to join the firm's corporate practice in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work with clients on innovative renewable energy projects, contributing to impactful deals that drive the transition to clean energy.
In This Position, You Will:
• Draft and negotiate principal financing documentation, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, credit agreements, and security and pledge agreements.
• Manage key commercial project documentation such as PPAs, EPC contracts, site control agreements, and interconnection agreements.
• Conduct due diligence for renewable energy projects, including regulatory and compliance reviews.
• Advise clients on complex project development and finance matters, ensuring seamless execution of transactions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support client's business objectives and navigate challenges.
Ideal Candidate Profile Experience and Expertise
• 4+ years of project finance experience at a law firm, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
• Experience with both distributed and utility-scale renewable energy transactions.
• Strong background in drafting and negotiating key financing and commercial agreements.
Educational Credentials
• Juris Doctor (JD) or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission or eligibility for admission to the New York Bar.
