Covanta Holding Corporation is seeking an Energy Production Supervisor in Indianapolis, IN. About the position
The Energy Production Supervisor at Reworld Indianapolis plays a crucial leadership role in overseeing the operations of Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facilities. This position is responsible for fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship while ensuring the efficient operation of the facility. The supervisor will mentor and coach team members, manage daily work activities, enforce safety procedures, and monitor production and maintenance activities to meet customer needs and sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
• Direct and mentor the operations team to ensure excellence in the operation of the EfW facility.

• Review, prioritize, and direct daily work activities of the operations group during assigned shifts.
,
• Manage the functional activities of Control Room Operator, Auxiliary Operators, and Crane Operator.
,
• Enforce safety procedures and policies for the Operations Department and support teams.
,
• Monitor production and maintenance activities, assisting in planning and executing outage work.
,
• Support the development of recommendations for plant improvements.
,
• Collaborate with representatives of other departments to solve operational and technical problems.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED.
,
• At least five years of experience in power plant operations, including hands-on and supervisory roles.
,
• Ability to work shift work to support 24x7x365 facility operations.
,
• Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
,
• Experience with computer-based Maintenance Management Systems is desired.
,
• Desirable experience with DSC and CEM equipment, and as a Control Room Operator in a facility with a PC Based DCS system.

• Current holder of an ASME provisional certificate and ability to pass site-specific operator exam within 6 months of hire.
