Octopus Energy is hiring an Energy Markets Analyst in Italy. The role involves evaluating European energy and ancillary service markets, supporting business development, participating in industry forums, and conducting data analysis. Candidates should have 2-4 years of relevant experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze complex data. What you'll do
• Evaluate energy markets and ancillary service markets for Europe, identifying participating criteria for all relevant asset types.
• Support the business development team on evaluating the value of flexibility for those regions.
• Represent Kraken and actively participate in relevant industry forums to accelerate the energy transition.
• Use data analysis, modelling and first hand market research to help inform strategic business decisions.
• Work with the product teams to identify and undertake areas of analysis needed to deliver upcoming items on the roadmap.What you'll need
• 2-4 years experience working in a similar role relevant in any European energy markets.
• An ability to respond to complicated briefs for regulators and communicate an appropriate response / strategy.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• An ability to pick up work in a fast paced environment with a willingness to learn.
• Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and interpret complex quantitative data and information.Why else you'll love it here
