MaGrann Associates is seeking an entry-level Energy Inspector for their New Jersey Clean Energy Jobs Program. The role involves traveling to construction sites to perform energy efficiency inspections, including blower door and duct leakage testing. Job Description
MaGrann Associates is looking to hire an entry level Energy Inspector who will, in time, become a HERS Rating Field Inspector (RFI). We are seeking a motivated, hardworking individual who is willing to travel to job sites and is comfortable with using performance testing equipment. The HERS Rating Field Inspector (RFI) is certified to conduct the inspections and necessary basic performance tests and collect the date to produce the home energy rating.
Job Responsibilities
Duties will include:
• Perform Blower Door Testing on newly constructed homes
• Perform Duct leakage testing on newly constructed homes
• Visually verify insulation and air sealing checklist items
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors for new construction projects
• Support our technical consultants with field verification work for energy efficiency programs
• Primarily field based with daily travel to construction sites and building projects
• Other duties assigned
Professional Skills
Skills and Abilities:
• Computer skills (including Microsoft office)
• Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation
• Good communication skills with the ability to work with testing equipment
Residential new construction or HVAC experience is a plus
