We are seeking a full-time Energy Field Inspector

Job Responsibilities
• Perform residential building/energy compliance inspections at various stages of construction.
• Perform Air Infiltration and Duct Leakage testing for residential site inspections.
• Generate reports required for Certificate of Occupancy and HERS Ratings.
• Coordinate with project managers, job superintendent, and city inspectors regarding compliance with local/Energy Star standards.
• Ability to carry 50 lbs. of equipment.
• Able to travel long distances in states surrounding GA.
• Complete energy certification reports and inspection forms
• Provide guidance and training regarding code compliance to the construction team.

Required Skills
• 1-2 years of experience in the residential construction industry
• HERS Rater Certification.
• Energy Star Certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of residential building systems.
• Ability to review construction plans.
• Familiarity with energy modeling softwares such as Ekotrope, REMRate, or EnergyGauge.
• Basic understanding of residential energy building codes (IRC/IECC)
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Safe Driving Record
