Job Description

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an Energy Engineer with 3+ years of experience in energy management and performance contracting. Responsibilities include developing energy engineering tools, conducting on-site assessments, and preparing proposals for energy and water conservation solutions. Candidates should have a relevant degree, certifications, and experience in energy audits and savings calculations. This is a full-time position based in Philadelphia, PA.
Job Details:

My client is an established Energy Management and Performance Contracting firm in the commercial an industrial area. They are actively seeking an Energy Engineer with 3+ years of a proven track record.

Responsibilities
• Developing and standardizing energy engineering tools, templates, and data models using tools

and software such as Advanced Excel tools VBA, Power BI, Tableau.
• Develop proposals and engineering calculations for custom utility rebates and

incentives.
• Support and technical review of engineering savings calculations for accuracy and risk

mitigation.
• Research innovative technologies and supporting development of table based tools for calculating

energy and water saving solutions.
• Conduct on-site assessments in prospect commercial and industrial facilities then develop

engineering solutions to calculate energy and water saving solutions.
• Prepare sales proposal content to describe these solutions.
• Define scope and pricing for the selected energy and water conservation measures.
• Support Business Development Activities.

Qualifications, Experience And Skills

Qualifications:
• Holds at least a B.S. 4 year degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering or

equivalent.
• Hold one or more technology and industry certifications (CEM, CEA, CMVP, LEED/AP etc.)
• P.E certification preferred but not required for the position
• Experience as an Energy or Project Engineer preferably in an ESCO environment
• Knowledge about Python/R, Power BI, Tableau a plus.
• Prior experience working with energy simulation software such as eQuest/ Trane Trace, IES a

plus.
• Experience of working with Department of Energy Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) is a

plus.

Experience:
• Demonstrated experience in performing savings calculations for energy upgrades
• Experienced in performing energy audits according to ASHRAE standards (ASHRAE Level 1, 2& 3 and IGA: Investment Grade Audits)
• Advanced knowledge of energy modelling/best practice/codes (ASHRAE, IESNA, NEC etc.)
• Experience in seeing projects through implementation
• Technical experience with energy efficiency technologies

Skills:
• Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
• Advanced computer skills
• Project management fundamentals
• Ability to work effectively across a large geographic and diverse customer portfolio
• Effective interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships
• Demonstrated flair for sourcing and implementing new technology, up-to-date knowledge of energy efficiency technologies
• Demonstrated performance working with solution providers to provide energy/utility performance

improvements in commercial, industrial and health facilities
• Experience with advanced building services knowledge such as mechanical and HVAC, Building

Automation System, electrical and lighting.
• Some experience with industrial systems such as air compressors, vacuum pumps, steam

systems, heat exchangers
