Job Description
Cascade Energy, LLC is seeking an Outreach Engineer II to coordinate industrial energy efficiency programs in Central and Northern California. The role involves building relationships with the industrial network, managing projects, and collaborating with utility staff. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and relevant experience. Although based in Los Angeles, the position allows for remote work with occasional site visits. About This Opportunity
We are hiring an Outreach Engineer II who is responsible for the coordination of utility-offered industrial energy efficiency programs and resources for Central and Northern California. The Outreach Engineer acts as the main point of contact and connects with the California industrial network to proactively build and maintain relationships that lead to natural gas and electric efficiency project opportunities. The Outreach Engineer works closely with utility and program staff and acts as the facilitator between industrial customers, vendors, implementation contractors, and energy efficiency service providers.
What You Will Be Doing:
Leverage and build relationships all project engineers, program, and support staff, as well as our vendors and customers to deliver the industrial energy efficiency program
Engage with all vendors to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Manage multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced consulting environment
Identify opportunities for new and better energy solutions
Track and coordinate with regional energy efficiency program stakeholders to identify areas for collaboration
Apply consultative selling techniques and recommend various program offerings to prospective vendors that are specific to their business needs
Represent program requirements thoroughly and accurately
Effectively utilize available technical resources as appropriate
Provide regular reporting of lead generation, project status or other data
This is a full-time, exempt position to be located in Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange County / Inland Empire, or southern San Joaquin Valley.
No in-office requirements but will need to drive to customer sites approximately once per week.
Qualifications
• Applicants for this role are required to have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering program required
• 5 years of related experience, preferably working with industrial customers and existing relationships with large food processing facilities and manufacturers
• General knowledge and understanding of energy-efficiency technologies, programs and policies with a familiarity of energy use analysis and energy auditing
• Deep knowledge of energy efficiency opportunities related to but not limited to boilers, furnaces, pumps, fans, and compressors
• Solid understanding of industrial processes (i.e., what systems use energy, how they use energy, and methods for reducing energy use)
A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills:
• Experience with utility funded energy efficiency or demand side management programs
• Knowledge and understanding of California energy regulations
• Knowledge of project financial metrics and how projects are “sold” to upper management.
• Technical sales experience

Compensation & Benefits
Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. The salary range for this position in Los Angeles area is $85,100 - $106,500 - $127,820*/per year. *Offers are typically made between minimum and midpoint to support pay equity and to ensure fairness and growth potential. However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location if different than the above.
