Job Description
Terawatt seeks a Clean Energy Coach in Cambridge, MA, to educate the community on clean energy programs like solar and energy efficiency. Responsibilities include conducting consultations, generating leads, and maintaining relationships with customers. In collaboration with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC), we are on a mission to make clean energy accessible to everyone in Massachusetts. As part of our expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Clean Energy Coach to join our team.
Position Overview: As a Clean Energy Coach, you will play a crucial role in educating community members on clean energy programs such as solar, energy efficiency, heat pumps, and general electrification/ weatherization initiatives. You will be required to support families that decide to adopt such programs through the transition process. This position requires a passion for clean energy, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in community organizing or sales. Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough consultations with community members to understand their energy needs and assess the feasibility of solar solutions.
• Develop a pipeline of customers through a mix of lead generation channels- digital, events, webinars, etc.
• Educate customers on the benefits of solar, energy efficiency, heat pumps and other products/services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with community members, providing excellent customer service throughout the energy transition process.
• Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to individuals and groups.
• Collaborate with the team to meet and exceed ambitious targets.
• Stay informed about industry trends, solar technology advancements, and government incentives.
• Territory includes Brockton, Randolph, Lawrence, Dorchester, Lynn, Roxbury, Mattapan, Revere, Lowell, Springfield.
Qualifications:
• Experience in community organizing, advocacy, non-profit or sales
• Experience in solar sales, energy supply sales, energy efficiency, MassSave or renewable energy industry is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of solar products, energy efficiency, and related technologies or capacity to learn quickly
• Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Comfortable using CRM software for lead management and reporting.
• Bilingual/ multilingual candidates preferred

Pay: $71,556.00 - $82,804.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
