About the position

The Energy and Climate Equity Manager will oversee the Community Energy Program for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Nassau County, focusing on equitable engagement in energy and climate initiatives across Long Island. This role aims to educate and support disadvantaged communities in adopting clean energy strategies, managing outreach efforts, and coordinating a team of independent contractors to address energy and climate inequities effectively.

Responsibilities
• Support the Community Energy Program in achieving equitable engagement goals.

• Inform residents and business owners about clean energy options.

• Coordinate the Community Energy Navigator program and manage outreach efforts.
,
• Establish and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
,
• Deliver educational programs and presentations in various settings.

• Provide training and coordinate the work of team members, volunteers, and interns.

• Carry out administrative tasks to support educational programs and funding requirements.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

• Experience relevant to the role of the position.

• Valid Driver's License and ability to meet travel requirements.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
