About the position

The Energy Auditor I position at Franklin Energy involves providing energy efficiency services to small business tenants, building owners, and utility customers. Responsibilities
• Promote the energy efficiency program to customers through scheduled energy assessments.

• Work with building owners and property managers to provide energy efficiency advice and assistance.

• Deliver professional, high-quality services to utility customers.

• Complete walk-through energy assessments identifying key energy-saving opportunities.

• Install energy-saving devices including lighting, thermostats, and hot water-saving devices.

• Explain energy assessment findings and rebates to building owners.

• Understand the program's strategic direction regarding energy efficiency.

• Document on-site energy efficiency opportunities and follow up with customers.
,
• Discuss technical elements of energy-consuming equipment such as HVAC and insulation.

• Enter data into spreadsheets and databases to manage projects and determine energy savings.

• Maintain a professional appearance as a representative of the organization.

• Build rapport with customers and initiate conversations about energy usage.

• Provide written summary reports to customers and Program Managers as required.

• Collaborate in a team atmosphere for continuous improvement.

• Lead presentations promoting energy efficiency programs.

• Perform direct installations of energy-saving measures in customer facilities.

• Conduct inventory counts and submit reports as requested.

• Ensure cleanliness and organization of warehouse and vehicle areas.

• Perform routine vehicle safety inspections and submit reports.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in energy efficiency or related field preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers effectively.

• Ability to perform energy assessments and understand energy-saving opportunities.

• Basic knowledge of energy systems, including HVAC, lighting, and insulation.
