Energy Analyst – Melbourne, Victoria

Our client is a growing, energy services business run by a group of professionals, highly skilled across energy disciplines. The business offers innovative, tailored, and actively managed energy supply solutions for large Commercial & Industrial businesses on the East Coast of Australia with our client being the largest independent provider of ‘whole of supply chain’ gas services to large industrial consumers.

We’re seeking bright individuals who are interested in working in a high-growth business at the leading edge of the rapidly changing energy sector to fill our full-time Energy Analyst positions.

The Energy Analyst roles involve:
• Delivery of energy solutions and insights for large, high-value C&I clients, including ASX 200 companies
• Focus on “smart data” solutions in a sector which revolves around “big data” and potential involvement in report and system automation
• Manage and administer the “customer book” and assist in growing the customer base
• Possible involvement in wholesale energy trading operations

As part of our clients team, you will quickly gain a deep understanding of not only gas and electricity supply chains and markets, but also renewables and carbon abatement.

Applicants will need to be highly self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to learn quickly and take initiative. For an individual demonstrating these attributes, this role offers a strong career development path as a core team member in a dynamic and niche enterprise.

Recent qualifications in Engineering, Commerce / Economics, Finance or Computer Science will be sought after and undergraduates in the final year of their degree will also be considered. Strong analytical skills and high level Microsoft Excel capability are a must (python and database programming capability will be advantageous).
