End of Life Sustainability Specialist

CheckSammy is hiring an End of Life Sustainability Specialist in Las Vegas, NV, to develop strategies for minimizing environmental impact through waste reduction and circular economy initiatives. Responsibilities include collaborating with teams, conducting life cycle assessments, and ensuring compliance with sustainability regulations. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience in sustainability or waste management. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $60K–$85K.

We are seeking an End-of-Life Sustainability Specialist to help us close the loop by implementing, managing materials, and optimizing programs that reduce waste, improve recyclability, and support circular economy initiatives.

This position will be located in our North Las Vegas Warehouse, Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement end-of-life strategies for products, packaging, and materials to minimize environmental impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product design, operations, logistics) to integrate circular design principles.
• Conduct life cycle assessments (LCA) and waste audits to identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with recyclers, reverse logistics providers, and environmental agencies to improve post-consumer recovery programs.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with waste reduction, extended producer responsibility (EPR), and take-back legislation.
• Support internal and external sustainability reporting by tracking relevant data and KPIs.
• Educate internal teams and customers on end-of-life best practices and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 3+ years experience in sustainability, waste management, packaging engineering, or circular economy programs.
• Familiarity with EPR, zero waste frameworks, and LCA methodologies.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Knowledge of sustainable materials and packaging innovation.
