NEIWPCC is offering a summer internship program for Emerging Water Professionals at the Nashua Wastewater Treatment Facility. Interns will gain hands-on experience by assisting with plant operations, maintenance, and water sample collection. The program aims to address the shortage of wastewater professionals in New Hampshire and prepare interns for the Grade 1 Operator License exam. Candidates should be organized and interested in water quality preservation.
Gain valuable skills to start a career as a wastewater operator! We’re seeking two summer interns to join the Emerging Water Professional Internship Program and receive hands-on training at the Nashua Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF). There is a growing shortage of wastewater professionals in New Hampshire. Through this program, NEIWPCC aims to bridge the workforce gap and keep waterways clean by providing a direct pipeline to employment in the industry. In this role, interns will: Assist Nashua WWTF staff with plant operations, including aiding in maintenance, completing routine checklists, and collecting water samples. Shadow a variety of plant technicians to gain a comprehensive work-based learning experience. Engage with NEIWPCC trainers in preparation to successfully take New Hampshire’s Grade 1 Operator License exam.
