Emergency Response Environmental Technician

In this hands-on role, you will perform vital tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials.
• Driver's license required
• Monday through Friday schedule with an average start time of 6 am
• Expect to work 8-10+ hour days; overtime paid after 40 hours
• Must be available for emergency response and occasional work on evenings and weekends
• Overnight travel may be required; hotel and per diem provided

This position includes a two-week Academy training out of state, with all expenses covered by the company and paid training!

Your Key Responsibilities:
• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies and procedures
• Engage in physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects
• Operate various hand and powered industrial tools
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) properly at all times
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Handle hazardous materials safely in compliance with regulations
• Participate in field sampling activities and equipment calibration
• Climb ladders and work at heights when necessary
• Attend compliance and safety meetings
• Inspect containers for integrity and compliance
• Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste
• Assist with waste sampling and profiling when needed
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations
• Be on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis

Qualifications:
• Must have a valid Driver's license and reliable transportation
• Physical capability to perform all job functions
• Prepared to work on-call, including weekends and holidays as necessary
• Pass background checks, drug tests, and physical tests
• Meet OSHA's respiratory protection requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar labor role
