Emergency Preparedness Coordinator

About the position

The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator at Georgia Tech is responsible for developing, maintaining, and exercising the Institute's emergency plans, including the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and its annexes. This role supports the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during activations and assists with emergency preparedness training and initiatives within the campus community. The position requires regular interaction with the Georgia Tech Police Department's Emergency Management team and involves advising campus partners on emergency planning.

Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain and exercise building and venue-level emergency plans through regular coordination with building/facility managers.

• Assist with the activation, training and maintenance of the campus emergency notification system.

• Assist with the development, maintenance and exercising of the campus Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), the EOP's annexes and appendices.

• Assist with emergency preparedness activities within the campus community to include teaching classes, facilitating exercises and similar initiatives to promote preparedness.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Four years of job related experience.
