Electronics Technician

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our client’s team at their Distribution Center in Cape Town, conveniently located near the airport. This is a permanent role, ideal for a skilled professional who is eager to contribute to the smooth operation of a leading company’s supply chain. Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic systems within the distribution center
• Repair and replace faulty electronic components and systems to ensure minimal downtime
• Collaborate with the team to implement automation processes and preventative maintenance strategies
• Ensure all work is documented, including maintenance schedules and repairs made
• Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean, efficient work environment
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems
• Support with PLC programming and diagnostics as required

Requirements:
• Minimum NQF Level 3 qualification (essential)
• Red Seal Trade Certificate (essential)
• Proven experience working with PLC systems and automation processes
• In-depth knowledge of conveyor belt systems and preventative maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (essential)
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
