Electronics Technician​

Belcan is hiring an Electronics Technician in West Chester, Ohio. Candidates should have a minimum two-year degree in electronics and two years of RF technician experience. Basic computer skills and knowledge of RF test equipment are required. This is a contract-to-hire position with a first shift schedule.
About the position

The Electronics Technician position is a critical role within our organization, located in West Chester, OH. This position is designed for individuals who have a strong background in electronics and are looking to apply their skills in a hands-on environment. The technician will be responsible for setting up and performing repetitive technical electronic test functions, working closely with more senior technicians and following written procedures and instructions. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and align various electronic components to ensure they meet specified performance standards. In this position, the technician will engage in a variety of tasks including aligning, tuning, and troubleshooting standard product filters, as well as performing simple electronic and mechanical assembly. The technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting circuit card assemblies down to the component level, which requires a solid understanding of RF hopping filters and subassemblies such as digital controllers and RF platforms. The use of schematics, PCB/PWB layouts, and mechanical drawings will be essential in executing these tasks effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a two-year degree in an electronics field from an accredited institution and have at least two years of relevant RF technician experience. Basic computer skills are necessary, and familiarity with common RF test equipment is crucial. Knowledge of RF filter principles and military experience with electronic testing will be considered advantageous. Responsibilities
• Setup and perform repetitive technical electronic test functions with the assistance of more senior technicians and the aide of written procedures and instructions

• Align, tune and troubleshoot standard product filters
,
• Troubleshoot circuit card assemblies to component level
,
• Perform simple electronic assembly such as installing a select-on test component or soldering a tap wire on an inductor during filter alignment
,
• Perform simple mechanical assembly such as installing a cover or installing cables
,
• Perform component level troubleshooting and repair of RF hopping filters and subassemblies such as digital controllers, RF Platforms, etc.

• Use of schematics, PCB/PWB layouts, mechanical drawings, and work instructions
,
• Perform simple continuity tests on wire harnesses per manufacturing drawings and/or wire charts

Requirements
• Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder))
,
• Minimum 2 year degree in an electronics field from an accredited college, university or technical school required

• Minimum 2 years of RF related technician's experience required
,
• Basic computer skills required
,
• Knowledge of J-STD-OO1-D preferred and ability to obtain certification once employed is required
,
• Must be well versed in the use of common RF test equipment (including calibration & troubleshooting)

• Knowledge of RF filter principles such as bandwidth, Q, insertion loss, and return loss as well as an advance understanding of filter alignment and component function

• Military experience with electronic testing is a plus
