Job Description
PEAK Technical Staffing USA is seeking an Electronic Technician in San Diego, CA. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing maintenance, testing equipment, and maintaining records. Candidates should have 0-2 years of experience and a basic understanding of electronics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required. This is a full-time position.
SUMMARY:
The Electronic Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment, devices, and systems in compliance with company standards.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs electronic systems, circuits, and components.
• Performs routine maintenance, preventive tasks, and necessary repairs to restore functionality.
• Inspects equipment, performs repair, or determines next steps within 2 weeks of In-service.
• Maintains records of repairs, schedules, inventory, and test results within MetTeam.
• Identifies and resolves failures or setup issues, escalating when needed.
• Tests equipment to verify proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshoots to the component level for electronic, mechanical, and electrical issues.
• Operates and understands tools like oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters.
• Experienced in soldering and handling moderately complex tasks.
• Supports other departments and performs miscellaneous assignments.
• Ensures work meets company standards before proceeding.
• Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses beginning working knowledge of subject matter.
• Other Duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Zero-two years' experience in repair of electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Zero-two years' experience in a similar role/industry.
PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Typically requires a basic understanding of electronics, with a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, and potentially some relevant work experience or technical certifications (e.g., Associate degree in Electronics or related field).
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of electronic circuits, components, systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze problems, interpret technical data, and implement solutions effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy when performing tasks.
