ACR World is hiring Electricians for wind farm operations in Sydney, Australia, partnering with NORDEX, a leading wind turbine manufacturer. About the Roles Local A-Grade Electricians invited to apply with multiple opportunities available - no wind experienced necessary. Reporting directly to the Lead Technician, you will be part of the core team of service technicians who will ensure that operations and maintenance work is executed safely, to a high standard and with minimal downtime. The Service Technician’s responsibilities are commissioning, fault clearance as well as maintenance of the wind turbines. The roles are based on site full time at the Mortlake Windfarm in Southwest Victoria. Responsibilities Analyse defects with phone-contact to service coordinator Autonomous simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and fault-finding Carry out complex repair processes in collaboration with the Lead Technician With subcontractors, carry out planned maintenance / inspection activities of turbines for compliance with technical specifications and regulations Collecting data and performing tests Fill in reports and checklists in order to completely inform Local Operation Manager Inform customer in case of works on the turbine Carry out repair or exchange of main components Check inventory of spare parts stock and be responsible for material on site Standard monitoring of booked service reports and steering of service process to book expenses correctly Guarantee that tasks are realized with high quality and on time Realization of tasks in the most economical way Responsible for material, tools and property Carry out tasks in accordance with manuals and regulations; and Keep all H&S related instructions and guidelines and work safety for material and personnel. Skills & Experience Trade qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines Experience in hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical environments Able to pass fit-to-work medicals, climb towers and work at heights Good English language skills (read, write and speak fluently) Teamwork, collaboration and willingness to take over responsibility for tasks Ability to solve problems strategically and analytically Computer literate, able to use MS Office, SAP and in-house database and workload management systems Readiness for training an development Benefits Global Leader in Wind turbine manufacturing Long term career opportunities with training and development Market leading compensation framework Industry and turbine specific training and qualifications on offer How to apply If you are interested, please apply now with your updated CV.
