AMS Renewable Energy is seeking an Electrical Superintendent for solar and storage projects in the Syracuse, NY area. The role involves leading electrical installations, managing crews, ensuring compliance with safety and NEC standards, and conducting site inspections. Candidates should have a Journeyman Electrician License, 3+ years of supervisory experience, and knowledge of solar and storage systems. This full-time position requires travel for regional projects.

AMS Renewable Energy is a fast-growing solar and energy storage EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) firm with projects across the U.S. We specialize in building high-quality solar and storage systems for commercial and utility-scale clients. As we expand, we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field crews and ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant project execution.
What You’ll Do
• Lead the installation of electrical systems on solar and storage job sites
• Manage and coordinate electrical crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries
• Ensure work meets NEC code, project specs, and safety standards
• Interpret electrical drawings, site plans, and single-line diagrams
• Conduct daily site inspections, maintain job logs, and report progress
• Communicate with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to stay on schedule and within budget
• Ensure all work is completed with safety as the top priority
What We’re Looking For
• Journeyman Electrician License (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience supervising electrical crews in the field
• Experience on commercial or utility-scale solar and storage projects strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of NEC code and best practices
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and plan sets
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• OSHA 30 preferred
