We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee electrical site operations on a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. This role is crucial in managing electrical installations, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating site teams to achieve project milestones efficiently.

As the Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the supervision, coordination, and execution of all electrical site activities. You will ensure compliance with Australian electrical safety standards, manage subcontractors, oversee workforce planning, and guarantee timely project delivery.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Direct and oversee daily electrical works, ensuring all activities are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with project specifications.
• Manage subcontractors, schedule workforces, and conduct pre-start meetings and toolbox talks to align teams with project objectives.
• Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, inverters, and cabling.
• Ensure adherence to Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 5033), workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations, and risk management procedures.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of electrical works while managing reporting and documentation for compliance and audits.
• Identify site challenges, implement solutions, and drive efficiency and quality in electrical installations.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Electrical Work Licence (Queensland) – Essential
• Extensive experience in large electrical infrastructure projects (ideally in renewable energy, battery storage, substations, or high-voltage distribution).
• Strong knowledge of BESS electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, and inverters.
• Proven expertise in electrical site supervision and contractor management.
• Familiarity with Australian electrical standards and WHS regulations.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Experience in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
