Electrical Power Systems Technician

Brookfield Renewable is hiring an experienced Wind Technician in Sheffield, VT, responsible for maintaining and repairing wind turbines. Key duties include troubleshooting issues, traveling to remote sites for repairs, and participating in on-call shifts. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and the ability to work at heights and handle heavy objects.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Wind Technician, Sheffield to join our team at Brookfield Renewable. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing wind turbines, which are critical to our company's mission of generating renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintaining and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components of wind turbines.
• Troubleshooting complex issues with wind turbine platforms.
• Traveling to remote locations to assist in the maintenance and repair of wind turbines.
• Participating in rotating On Call shifts as required.

Qualifications
• Possessing a high school diploma or GED and having a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on variable pitch, variable speed wind turbines.
• Ability to climb multiple towers per day up to 100 meters unassisted, in various weather conditions to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ability to lift, move, place, and/or handle objects up to 50lbs unassisted and up to 100lbs assisted.
• Ability to work with and differentiate between color-coded electrical wires.
• Ability to complete all Brookfield HSSE requirements within 3 months of onboarding.
