About Braemar Power Station
Located 35km southwest of Dalby in Southern Queensland, Braemar Power Station is a 560MW open-cycle gas turbine plant, strategically positioned to support Queensland’s energy needs. With our dedicated pipeline and compression facility, we ensure efficient and reliable energy production.
The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our Operations & Maintenance team at our Braemar Power Station. In this role, you won’t just maintain and operate plant & equipment—you’ll also have the chance to develop your skills under the guidance of experienced mentors. Your contributions will directly impact the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our power station, making this a dynamic and fulfilling position.
What You’ll Do:
• Ensure safety for yourself and your team by adhering to AlintaSafe practices.
• Support the execution of the annual maintenance work plan and participate in capital projects to enhance plant performance.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure high reliability and efficiency.
• Isolate plant and equipment, and issue Permits to Work as per the Maintenance Schedule or plant requirements.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to power station operations, including maintaining records, preparing reports, and supporting project management activities.
What You’ll Bring:
• QLD electrical licence (or the ability to obtain one).
• 2 years post-trade experience (preferred but not mandatory)
• A growth mindset and eagerness for development.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and learning.
• Ability to adapt to new challenges and technologies.
