Electrical Lighting Retrofit Technicians (Traveling Position)

PowerSecure Solar is seeking Electrical Lighting Retrofit Technicians for a traveling position based in Allentown, PA. About the position

Our company has a very diverse project portfolio; you will have consistent work and the ability to build on your knowledge across various systems. Responsible for performing the installation of energy efficient lighting systems and controls in accordance with the design and direction provided by the Lighting Project Supervisor. Maintain awareness and propose strategies to optimize the profitability of lighting projects while meeting or exceeding quality standards that have been established with the client and marketplace. Perform the duties assigned in a timely, professional, and safe manner. 100% installation time.

Responsibilities
• Perform the installation of energy efficient lighting systems and controls.

• Maintain awareness and propose strategies to optimize profitability of lighting projects.

• Complete assigned duties in a timely, professional, and safe manner.
,
• Operate independently in the installation of materials in a lighting system project.
,
• Assist the Lighting Project Supervisor with training of Class B and C lighting technicians.
,
• Install UL Types A, B and C TLED retrofit measures, reflector kits, and new fixtures.
,
• Install new MC power cable to new fixtures and occupancy sensor controls.
,
• Assist in light EMT conduit work.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
,
• Minimum of 6 months of electrical experience or equivalent training.
,
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
,
• Electrical lighting industry experience preferred.
,
• OSHA 10 preferred.
,
• Understanding of electrical/lighting systems.
,
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operations manuals, and written directions.
,
• Strong verbal communication skills.
,
• Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills quickly.

Nice-to-haves
• OSHA 30 certification.
