Electrical Journeyman - Solar

Troy Salerno Electric Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Journeyman for their solar team in Nashville, TN. Responsibilities include installing solar energy systems, troubleshooting, and leading a crew. Candidates should have 4+ years of electrical experience, preferably with solar installations, and must be able to travel within Tennessee, Ohio, and Kentucky. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $30-$32 per hour and includes benefits.
Troy Salerno Electric Inc. is currently seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Journeyman who is willing to travel to join our solar team.

A Troy Salerno Electric Journeyman Electrician (Solar division) will work with a team on the commission of Solar energy management control systems, Main Panel Upgrades, installation of Battery storage systems, and other electrical tasks. The successful Electrician will be responsible for bending and installing conduit, pulling & terminating wire, cable, equipment, panels and various control components and devices. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting solar systems, fabrication of control panels, installation of interlocking wiring and performance of wiring check out, and assistance of systems start-up, including meeting inspectors, and occasionally utility technicians.

Responsibilities:
• Installing raceways (PVC, EMT, RIGID, FLEX, MC)
• Read blueprints, legend symbols, scale of plan, branch circuits, one-line and three-line diagrams
• Completion of all installations per all current electrical codes
• Report what is needed on each job and any problems that arise during an installation
• Strong leadership role, assisting and directing the solar crew under the direction of the Supervisor
• Purchasing materials as needed
• Hauling a trailer

Requirements:
• 4+ years in the electrical trade with proven history of at least 2 years of full-time journeyman level status, and good work references.
• Solar Installation or Solar Electrical installation experience a plus.
• Experience with battery and whole home battery installations, specifically Tesla, Enphase and SolarEdge batteries, battery installation certifications desired but not required
• Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug test and background check
• Must have a valid drivers license, and reliable work vehicle
• OSHA 10 required & OSHA 30 Highly Preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
• Strong work ethic and history
• Must be able to read blueprints
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
• Alternate sitting or standing at will
• Crouching or bending
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds+
• Comfortable with heights
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
• Able to travel within the state of Tennessee , Ohio, and Kentucky (with paid per diem and mileage reimbursement) on a regular/weekly basis

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
