V2X is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Energy Manager for its Utilities division located on Ascension Island. The role involves building prototypes, setting up test equipment, and maintaining technical documentation under the supervision of the OPS Manager. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with two years of experience or an Associate's degree with five years of experience, along with a DoD Secret level Security Clearance. The position requires physical activity and adherence to safety protocols.

Under supervision of the OPS Manager, the Electrical Engineer / Energy Manager, Utilities assists with various duties such as building prototypes, setting up test equipment, preparing documentation, updating CADD / CAM files, maintaining technical drawings and specifications, and conducting general troubleshooting of systems and equipment. Position is located on Ascension Island. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X. ResponsibilitiesMajor Job Activities: Assists Management with various duties such as building prototypes, setting up test equipment, preparing documentation, updating CADD / CAM files, maintaining technical drawings and specifications, and conducting general troubleshooting of systems and equipment. Material & Equipment Directly Used: May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions that require wear of hard hats, gloves, steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses and other personal protection equipment (PPE) such as flak vest and Kevlar helmet; may be required to push, pull, and lift heavy equipment. Use of cell phones to maintain contact and accountability of work activities. Working Environment: The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside. Physical Activities: Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion. Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. This factor is important if the amount of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium. QualificationsEducation Requirement: Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of experience OR Associate's degree plus five (5) years of experience in an engineering discipline. Certification Requirements: CADD / CAMCandidate must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance.Experience: 5+ years of experience in Engineering operations, inventory management, or related field.Experience with automated management systems and inventory control software.Previous experience in an engineering technician role. Previous experience working on an overseas contract. Other Requirements:Knowledge of DOD Utilities accounting procedures and Defense Logistics Agency requirements Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports. Knowledge of environmental regulations related to fuel storage. Skills & Technology Used:Strong mathematical and analytical skills.Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.Valid driver's license.Willingness to work in varied weather conditions on a remote island. Ability to respond to emergency situations including after-hours calls. Experience with military fuel operations preferred.
