At Aurecon, we are looking for a passionate and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our Industrial EI&C team in Sydney. This role is your chance to work on high-impact, cutting-edge projects across Sydney, designing crucial infrastructure for some of our most exciting clients.

Key Responsibilities to Bring Ideas to Life 🚀 💡

You will bring your expertise in heavy industrial and process plant projects, applying your knowledge of key Australian Standards to deliver high-quality electrical designs. Your experience with power systems software and client-facing roles will allow you to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the successful delivery of projects. A fundamental understanding of ‘in-plant’ electrical distribution (MV and LV systems) and motor control systems will be essential in this role.

We tackle complex challenges in electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, using the latest technologies and best practices. What We’re Looking For 🔍

You’ll have a Degree in Electrical Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia and at least 5 years of post-graduate experience in industrial projects (energy, water, or mining sectors). You’ll have strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, motor control systems, and relevant standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1.1, and AS/NZS 2067). An understanding of renewable energy and industrial control and communication systems would be an advantage.

You’ll be experienced across all project phases, from concept to detailed design, and have the ability to work closely with Project Managers, engineers, and designers to support project deliverables. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must to interact with clients and internal teams effectively.
