Job Description

E Co. is seeking an E-Learning specialist to develop and deliver online courses focused on climate finance. Responsibilities include collaborating with experts to create engaging content, maintaining existing materials, and evaluating training effectiveness. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in e-learning design, strong communication skills, and an interest in climate change. The position offers flexible working hours and hybrid remote options.
For over 24 years, we have been supporting and guiding our clients to achieve low-carbon climate-resilient development. We assess contexts and baselines, design strategies and frameworks, develop policies, programmes and projects and unlock finance for public and private sector clients across the world.

E Co. is looking for a talented and passionate E-Learning specialist to support our work to make a real difference in the fight against climate change.

About the role

One of our long-term goals and services at E Co. is to improve access to climate finance. We are currently developing an online training service to build capacity in climate finance globally. We are on the lookout for an experienced E-Learning specialist to help us create and deliver high-quality, engaging, and effective online courses. We have a vast library of existing training resources and materials, and a developed vision to support whoever steps into this role.

The role will also develop learning and development for staff and associates within E Co.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and our Marketing team to plan, design and develop compelling e-learning content and curriculum for e-learning courses.
• Develop a variety of learning materials, including videos, interactive exercises, and assessments.
• Use appropriate instructional design models and best practices.
• Maintain and update existing e-learning content.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and make recommendations for improvement.
• Support and administer the learning management platform.

Qualifications
• At least 5 years of proven experience in designing and developing learner-centred e-learning content and curriculums.
• Knowledge of or interest in climate change and climate finance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in an accessible manner, supported by graphics.
• A strong sense of visual design principles and ability to work within an existing brand system.
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and good practice.
• Experience collaborating with subject-matter experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to gather input, refine content, and ensure training programmes meet learners' needs.
• Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems.
• Positive and professional demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Desirable
• Recognised qualification in training such as CIPD.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or Education.
• Experience with video production and editing.
• Experience with graphic design and multimedia development.
• Knowledge of other languages.
