About Our Client

We are working with a growing Manufacturing company in their search to add an EHS Specialist to the team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience within a manufacturing setting and have knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations. This role will report into the Plant Manager and will oversee a 100 employee plant. Job Description
• Monitor, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs and policies in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments of manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities.
• Investigate and report workplace accidents, near misses, and incidents; implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Deliver EHS training and awareness programs to all levels of staff, including orientation for new hires.
• Maintain all EHS documentation, including permits, safety data sheets (SDS), training records, and inspection logs.
• Manage hazardous waste, air emissions, and other environmental compliance programs.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe work practices and process safety.
• Track and analyze EHS performance metrics; identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies during inspections and ensure timely resolution of any findings.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal EHS Specialist - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in EHS, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations.
• Strong communication and training skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and EHS management software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, or similar).
• Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager), or similar are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
