Job Description
Hologic, Inc. is seeking an EHS Specialist 2 in San Diego, CA. The role involves administering EH&S management systems, conducting compliance audits, managing workplace safety incidents, and developing training programs. Candidates should have knowledge of EH&S regulations and strong communication skills. A bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or equivalent experience is required, along with 3-5 years in the discipline. The salary range is $69,000 - $100,900.

To this end, Hologic’s Surgical Division recently announced the creation of the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics team. A newly created position on the team of Data Analyst will be a pivotal role in the success of both this new team and the Surgical Division more broadly.
The Data Analyst position will develop and deploy dynamic analytical models that identify key insights to address business challenges and opportunities. Working closely with the Surgical Division’s leadership team, these models will capture, analyze and enable action using data to drive decision-making with greater speed and enable scalability for future growth.
Candidates should have an intimate knowledge of data source design and management, and a strong understanding of how best to leverage, integrate, visualize, and communicate these sources in driving key insights and actions.
What to expect:
• Responsible for administrating EH&S Management systems at assigned facilities.
• Conducts EH&S Compliance Audits at Hologic sites; identifies and corrects potential hazards; ensures ongoing compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Administrates workplace safety incident management, including workers compensation administration, and facilitating the corrective/preventative action process.
• Assists in the development and implementation of EH&S programs, policies & procedures.
• Acts as a business partner to employees and managers on all safety related issues; promotes safety first culture.
• Monitors/supervises hazardous waste management at assigned facilities.
• Provides emergency response support and action planning at assigned facilities.
• Develops EH&S training programs and provides training to employees as required.
• Maintains and monitors EH&S records, equipment and the compliance calendar for assigned facilities, including permit submissions.
• Provides key performance indicator reporting to Corporate EH&S.
What we expect:
• Knowledge of federal, state & local EH&S regulations, safety procedures, equipment, supplies, and loss control & prevention theories.
• Ability to work cross functionally to establish programs and effectively drive a safety culture throughout the organization.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, competent business partner and advisor attitude.
• Familiar with sustainability principles.
• Good business and technical writing skills.
• Able to prioritize and plan daily activities with minimal supervision.
• Skilled in developing and conducting EH&S related training.
• Well versed in Microsoft applications.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in an Environmental Health and Safety related field or equivalent experience
• 3 - 5 years of experience in the EH&S discipline
The annualized base salary range for this role is $69,000 - 100,900 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
