Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a EHS Officer in Malvar Batangas.

The Environment, Health and Safety Officer (EHS Officer) shall oversee all Plant metrics and initiatives related to occupational safety, health and environment, as prescribed in pertinent laws, regulations, standards and company policies. The EHS Officer shall manage and report key performance indicators under the function, and provide action plans and strategies in maintaining and improving such metrics. The EHS Officer is expected to conduct on floor validations and corrections relating to EHS practices as well as liaison works in relation to compliance in government regulations.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?
• Consolidate, manage, and synthesize data points and performance metrics related to occupational safety, health, and environment including, but not limited to, incident rates, loss time incidences, water and energy usage ratios, and regulatory compliances as prescribed by the Local Government Unit and executive agencies and branches including but not limited to Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Bureau of Fire protection (BFP), etc.
• Create strategies and action plans relevant to occupational safety, health, and environment, and monitor implementation of such action plans; and coordinate such action plans to Department Heads and/or their authorized representatives.
• Conduct investigations on violations and incidences related to occupational safety, health, and environment; and prepare reports within the prescribed timelines or as needed.
• Manage, implement and lead execution of programs and processes for emergency preparedness, pollution control, disaster risk management, pandemic or epidemic business continuity plan, and other relevant function.
• Coordinate with Department Heads in implementing policies and internal memorandum related to occupational safety, health, and environment; and alignment with updates on implemented policies and standards related but not limited to EHS Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC;

What are the Qualifications?
• College level preferably Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical courses
• At least 2 or more years of experience in related field
• Knowledge on Regulatory requirements, Safety and Environmental Laws
• Knowledge in Manufacturing and Supply Chain operations and processes.
• Strong on problem solving skills
• Ability to communicate, analyze and evaluate information and make sound recommendation.
