HELIX ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING is seeking an Ecological Restoration Specialist in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves designing and implementing habitat restoration projects, conducting site evaluations, and collaborating with field crews. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in environmental science or related fields, with at least five years of relevant experience, particularly in southern California. Job Description
The ideal candidate will support our biology and habitat restoration teams with project work, including:
• Designing habitat restoration projects to meet project goals and success criteria
• Conducting site exploration programs to evaluate the potential for successful restoration efforts
• Collaborating with field crews to implement restoration designs and lead adaptive management efforts
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
• A bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field (botany, biology, etc.)
• At least five years of experience as a professional biologist or restoration ecologist conducting duties related to this job
• Experience working in southern California, with at least two years of work experience in the region
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
